Usha Sookai is an NYC-based journalist and singer-songwriter. A multi-tasker and hyphenated to the max, she’s also a graduate of New York University and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.

As an Indo-Caribbean and a life-long New Yorker, Usha cares deeply about highlighting minority and underserved populations. She’s also a self-taught singer-songwriter. Find her work on Instagram.
